Delta Lambda Chapter at Georgia Southern University

Kappa Delta

Our Recruitment

A letter from our President, Megan Economos:

Kappa Delta at Georgia Southern University is more than excited to welcome a  group of new members this coming Fall 2015. Recruitment is one of our favorite times of the year, and we cannot wait to meet all of the potential new members who have decided to pursue formal recruitment, with hopes of finding home within one of our Panhellenic organizations at Georgia Southern. Here in Kappa Delta, we strive each day to live our lives more honorable, beautiful, and highest, and this Fall, we plan to recruit women who uphold our same values. I can speak for all of our 150+ current active members when I say that Kappa Delta is much more than the letters we wear on our t-shirts. Kappa Delta has been a home away from home for our members, and a place where women grow to love something much bigger than themselves. After joining Kappa Delta, I met many new lifelong friends, fell in love with Georgia Southern University, volunteered with our 2 philanthropies on a regular basis, and I grew as an individual person. My hope for any woman currently in a sorority, or any woman wishing to join a sorority, is that they get involved in their organization as much as they can, and I promise, the results are priceless!

My advice for someone who is about to go through recruitment would be to keep an open mind throughout the entire process, make your own decisions, and most importantly, meet as many people as you can! You never know who could be standing next to you in your future pledge class. Branch out and try to meet new people. You'll be much happier knowing that you chose to join a sorority because YOU chose it, not because you felt pressured by someone else. Recruitment will be emotional, tiring, confusing, and also fun! Hold on to these memories, trust your instincts, and be prepared for the best college years of your life! We can't wait to meet you!

Recruitment Schedule

Ice Breakers is the first day of rush. Get ready to talk! You'll get the cance to have one on one conversations with members of our chapter!

Day Two - Values

On values day we will share with you all the philanthropies and community service projects we are involved with. We will show ou are "values" and what is truly important to us as a chapter and national organization.
